After such a long period of disruption, thanks to the pandemic, Silver Pine Productions was gagging to get back into the saddle for the 2021 festival season.
There was so much residual uncertainty (would one of us get Covid? Would the venues be able to cope with a socially-distanced format? Would audiences even want to sit in a theatre again?) that eventually, we decided upon a show that was simple, portable and flexible enough to cope with sudden changes of personnel. But still – we hope – entertaining. Thus Laudable Pus (from Galen to Gallstones) was born.

We would like to thank both High Peak Bookstore and Cafe in Buxton and The Shrub Club in New Mills for hosting us and doing everything to make sure that live theatre really could come back with a bang!
